Alex Wall, whose month-long loan from Luton was extended this week, steered home his third goal in five Darts appearances from Alex Woodyard's cross. Michael Rankine, Jonathan Brown, Frankie Artus and Sam Smith all missed good chances to level for the Bulls.
And Lee Noble made it 2-0 by blasting into the top corner after his own free kick was only partially cleared.
