13 September 2014. Dartford had a marathon trip, with an overnight stop at Leeds on Friday. Perfect late summer weather for the spectators, if not for the players. Gateshead now have a policy of segregating visiting supporters to the far stand since the mass pitch invasion by Grimsby in May 2014. A case by case risk assessment might be more appropriate when accommodating 10 visiting supporters from Telford recently and about 20 from Dartford. The visitors dominated the first half but were kept at bay by a string of fine saves from Gateshead keeper Adam Bartlett.
