1 January 2017. Ebbsfleet win 1:0 at Stonebridge Road on a filthy wet afternoon. It was another competitive game with the two teams evenly matched - and both on course for the play-offs. Fleet started the New Year with a bang and gained vengeance for Dartford’s Boxing Day victory as a Bradley Bubb strike four minutes before half-time was enough to separate the sides.

The Stonebridge Road stadium is transforming and the new build is taking shape. Raked seating, VIP seating and new dugouts and a tunnel area replace the old Liam Daish stand. However, the rain soaked the front half of the new stand, some small comfort for the crowds that packed in the open behind the goal.
