17 October 2019. FA Youth Cup Third Round Qualifying. Coach to Meadowbank Stadium could not get near due to poor access. In a biblical downpour, all on the coach - players, supporters, etc, trooped off in the pouring rain, held up the traffic as we crossed the main road, and headed down a narrow road downhill, a small river in the the rain, 1/4 mile to the stadium. Mercifully the eased off during the match. Dorking were 2:0 up in the first half, and Dartford boys, in typical style, fought hard to get back to 2:2 in the second half. Despite repeated attacks, Dorking were the ones to score the extra goal to go through to the next round. Loving the ethic of never giving up, never giving in, fighting to the end. On this occasion it wasn't enough, but they will be back!
