19 August 2017. Dartford win 7-1. Goals Sho-Silva, Della Verde, Pavey, Noble, Mfula (x3)

Oxford City endured a difficult day on the road as they lost 7-1 to unbeaten Dartford at Princes Park, 4-0 in the first half. The Hoops ended the game with 9 men as Freddie Grant saw red in the 40th minute and Mo Fofana was stretchered off with a quarter of an hour to play. Richard Sho-Silva's towering header gave Darford the lead after 9 minutes and this was doubled 6 minutes later as Lyle Delle-Verde's effort from range was deflected past Craig Hill. Another header put the darts 3-0 up before Lee Noble's cross snuck into the top corner on the half hour mark. Joe Oastler and goalkeeper Hill were both booked for poor challenges outside the area before Grant's two-footed lunge gave the referee little choice but to show the red card. Any ideas of steadying the ship after half time were thrown in to disarray in the 50th minute as Warren Mfula converted another corner . The Hoops replied immediately; Dave Pearce won possession in the box and found Paterson who was able to turn and finish from 6 yards. There was no respite from the misery however as Mfula went on to complete his hattrick, rising highest to convert his second corner before firing home from the right hand side of the box.

The result places Dartford 5th in the league table.
