Welling Utd v Dartford - Stoke on Trent's motto.

Welling Utd v Dartford - Stoke on Trent's motto.

22 November 2016. Tunnel entrance mat. Vis Unita Fortior is the motto of Stoke-on-Trent and can be translated as: United Strength is Stronger, or Strength United is the More Powerful, or A United Force is Stronger. On a chilly winter evening, Kent Reliance Senior Cup 2nd Round at Park View Road ground. Dartford goalkeepr Deren Ibrahim was stretched off after trying to save a low ball and meeting with the foot of a Welling player, giving him a nasty blow to the head. After a 2:2 draw, and a last gasp penalty awarded to Welling, which was launched high over the goal Jonnie Wilkinson-style, the match ended with a penalty shoot out. Dartford replacement goalkeeper Tony Coxall tried valiently, but Welling were the winners and proceed to the next round.
